Today’s Post: Exploring Prince Edward Island and A Giveaway for When Love Arrives

#Write31Days Challenge

For October’s #Write31Days Challenge, I’m Exploring Prince Edward Island by sharing memories and photos from my recent trip. (Today is the last day to link up with the challenge, so sign up quick if you want to share your own 31 Days. Visit the Write 31 Days website for ideas and inspiration.)

The Wind & Reef Restaurant at North Point, PEI

On the recommendation of a “local,” my sister and I drove as far north as possible without driving into the sea to eat lunch at the Wind & Reef Restaurant. It’s located on the second floor of the rounded section of the building which also houses the Wind Energy Interpretive Center and a gift shop.

We were seated by one of the many windows and enjoyed the panoramic view of wind-blown clouds across an amazing blue sky and the choppy greens and grays of white-crested waves.

My sister selected clam chowder and a lobster roll while I went with the almond-crusted sole. We may not be locals (and I’m not even much of a foodie), but we definitely recommend the Wind & Reef. I hope to go back again someday.

Since I’m getting a late start on the month-long #Write31Days challenge, here are a few extra photos from our trip to North Point.

    • Pat, it is amazing! I loved that we went when we did and stayed where we did. The countryside is beautiful and there’s such a sense of community. We loved it. I just wish it wasn’t so far away. Otherwise, I might move there!
