Christmas Decoration ~ Stocking Boot & Candy Canes
I’ve loved this little stocking boot for as long as I can remember and was thrilled when my parents let me have it when I needed my own Christmas decorations.
Do you have a favorite decoration? I’d love to hear about it!
Twenty-Five Days of #BlogMas
My chosen theme for this series of blog posts is Classic of the Day. I hope you’ll join me in these days leading up to one of our most cherished–and classic–holidays.
My favorite tree ornament is the one that says, “Our First Christmas Married” with a small carved manger scene on it. I’ve had it for 38 years. Merry Christmas.
Oh, Pat. That is so sweet! Thanks for sharing, and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family!
My favorite is the lighted elves climbing up a ladder currently hanging form my kitchen curtain rod. It’s been brightening my home for 50 years. Well, except when I couldn’t get to it.
Aw, that sounds cute. Photo??
Just completed Where Treasure Hides; exceptional from first page to last-absolutely amazing. I must ask, I’m compelled to ask: will there be a book two? I’m reeling by the totally unpredictable curve ball on the last page (Epilogue). I’ve not been this undone by any novel in years; it’s quite an extraordinary story.
Hi, Deborah! Your comment is a sweet and welcome Christmas present. Thanks so much for stopping by. I very much hope to write a sequel but so far that hasn’t been possible. I’ve been blessed with other contracts and they take priority. It is a “project-of-my-heart” though and I very much want to write Schuyler’s story. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your gracious reply.
Schuyler MUST be Alison and Ian’s son?
Theodor told us so on page 382 when addressing Alison when he said, “You’ve lost more than you know.”
If so; utterly, completely brilliant!
It was an incorrect usage in my first email to use “curve ball” to describe last page. It is more accurately described as “out of left field” of the best kind!
What I found quite stunning (if I read correctly) this was your debut novel?
Clearly an amazing gift and talent from the Lord.
Best wishes for the Lord’s best for you and yours in 2019,
Deborah Breckinridge
Deborah, thanks again for your encouraging words. They meant so much to me when I first read them on my phone and thrilled my heart when I just read them again. Yes, Where Treasure Hides is my debut novel. I spent a lot of time on the research and writing and I do hope to go back to that “world” again. I want to tell Schuyler’s story and hope the opportunity occurs for me to do so. Thanks again for writing. Wishing you the best in this blessed New Year!
