Classic Christmas Story ~ A Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens wrote this popular novella–originally given the very long and descriptive title of A Christmas Carol, In Prose, Being a Ghost Story of Christmas–in 1843.
The story has been adapted multiple times. One of my favorites is Mister Magoo’s Christmas Carol. He’s such a cute little Scrooge.
If you haven’t had a chance to see The Man Who Invented Christmas–-well, what are you waiting for??!!
This delightful movie, that premiered last year, stars Dan Stevens (of Downton Abbey fame) as Charles Dickens when the already-popular author imagines Scrooge’s visitations with the three Spirits of Christmas.
Twenty-Five Days of #BlogMas
My chosen theme for this series of blog posts is Classic of the Day. I hope you’ll join me in these days leading up to one of our most cherished–and classic–holidays.
Hmmm, I’ll give this a second try.
I don’t like Dickens tale so I’m stumped for a classic today. Guess I’ll go with the nativity account in Luke 2.
Merry Christmas, Friend.
I’m saving Luke 2 for an upcoming post! Stay tuned!
Love “A Christmas Carol” in all incarnations, and really enjoyed “The Man Who Invented Christmas!” What a delightful movie!!
I so agree-loved The Man Who Invented Christmas. We saw it twice last year and now it’s on Netflix. (Or Amazon Prime–one of those two). Haven’t had a chance to watch it this year, though. So glad you popped in!
