About the Story
Christmas should be a time of wonder and expectation, but what if tragedy, illness, family secrets, or betrayal strip away every belief in what the future holds? And in a good and loving God?
When circumstances beyond their control dramatically alter their lives, can broken, betrayed, and disillusioned people rediscover their faith and come to see that God’s plans are far better for them than the ones they had imagined for themselves?

Christmas Eve candle light service is my favorite to start Christmas!
Hi, Robin. I love candlelight services. And then going home for egg nog and Christmas treats!
My favorite Christmas memories are attending Christmas Eve candle light service with family and eating and playing games afterwards. Thank you for the wonderful chance. Merry Christmas 🎄
Those are some of my favorite Christmas memories, too, Lucy. Merry Christmas!
I enjoy celebrating Christ by attending a Candlelight Christmas Eve service.
Hi, Caryl. This seems to be the most popular tradition. And I love it!
I love the Christmas Eve candlelight service! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love how we all love candlelight services. These are precious to me, too, Amelia!
As I got older my Christmas traditions changed. My favorite Christmas tradition is singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Also another favorite tradition is one I started myself to make things simple and easy and that’s buying food for Christmas and sending it to my parents and my sisters and their families. They love it and ask for it each year.
My favorite Christmas memory I believe is the one that hasn’t happened yet. I believe and feel Christmas 2020 will be a memorable one for our family and others too.
Would love to read and review the print format of this book.
Hi, Crystal. I love what you said–that your favorite Christmas memory “is the one that hasn’t happened yet.” Amen to that!
We enjoy going to the Christmas Eve Candlelight service and then driving to see the lights.
Hi, Merry. Candlelight services are always special, and I love driving around to see the lights, too. When my children were young, we lived in Florida so we didn’t have white Christmases. But the lights made up for it!
Playing the Christmas dice game with family
Hi, Jodi. Is that a gift exchange game? Wishing you a very blessed Christmas!
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is going to church on Christmas eve as a family. This year we will just be getting together on Christmas day and do worship and fun and food.
Hi, Lori. This is a strange year, and it’s sad that our Christmas traditions are affected, too. I’m glad you and your family can still get together and enjoy the day together. Merry Christmas!
My favorite Christmas Eve memories are of driving around to look at lights with my inlaws and stopping to drink hot chocolate at a restaurant. Now we usually do that a day or two before and spend Christmas Eve at home. We get to open one gift a piece, usually something like a game or movie that we can all enjoy together.
Hi, Lila! In more recent years, we’ve opened a game on Christmas Eve, too. I think this year, we may be having a s’mores night around an outside fire. Unless it’s freezing cold outside!
