Another Heroines of World War II novel released last month and author Naomi Musch is giving away an autographed print copy!
I had the honor and privilege of writing an endorsement for Season of My Enemy, an inspirational novel that takes place here on the homefront where families sacrificed so much for the war effort.
Here’s what I had to say about Naomi’s wonderful story ~
Not all heroines wear capes. During the Second World War, many wore bib overalls as they plowed, planted, and harvested fields. Naomi Musch’s courageous heroine faces grief, worry, prejudice, and longing in this tender story of a Wisconsin farm family determined to do their part for the war effort. Sometimes bowed but never broken, their quiet courage is a testament to all those who sacrificed so much during those troublesome years. Season of My Enemy belongs on the bookshelf of every fan of faith-based WWII fiction.

My thumb isn’t green at all!! Much as I love flowers, I can’t grow them!
I grew a lovely bamboo at my office once. But when I quit my job and took it home…let’s just say I should have left it behind!
it’s okay
Thank you!!!!
I love growing flowers and I usually have a green thumb. The book sounds wonderful.
Always looking for a new author who writes with grit. Would be happy to read this book.
If you enjoy WWII fiction, I’m sure you’d love this story.
Oops, I didn’t see the question. I am a vegetable and flower gardener. It’s my therapy!
I truly believe that God provides spiritual and emotional healing through nature. (Physical healing, too, considering all the medicinal properties we find in plants. But I think just being outside in the sunshine is a tonic.)
Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you.
You’re very welcome! Thanks for coming by!!
It’s strange usually I don’t have a green thumb but this year I found a potted flower Dad & I bought to plant but we never got around to it due to life happening then one sunny day I found it so wilted I thought it was close to death so trying to nurse it back to health I put on the patio & watered it every other day. Result: A beautiful potted healthy flower.
That’s a wonderful story, Crystal. It only needed a little bit of TLC! (Don’t we all??!!)
The last time I tried to grow plants, they didn’t survive. I think the green thumb gene skipped me.
I’ve had seasons (LOL) where I’ve done well but mostly I forget to tend to them and that is not good! It skipped me, too.
Nothing survives my thumb, lol, it is definitely not green at all.

My daughter in law gave me a tomato plant for Mother’s Day. So far it has 3 tomatoes on it.
My husband has the green thumb in the family–I just enjoy watching things grow!
I am not a plant/flower person. I love them , but I kill them. So, I rather have fake ones. On the other hand my mother is a great plant/flower person. Her love for them and the way she takes care of them is amazing.
Thank you for this chance at a copy of your book.
mine is not green except with roses!
Unfortunately, I do not have a green thumb, but I think it is because I don’t follow through. I love the idea of gardening, but not the work. I plan beautiful gardens and sometimes even buy plants and plant them, but that’s about the extent of it. I need a follow-up gardener!
I have two thumbs and eight other fingers that are all deadly to plants. When my children were little, if they made any kind of plant gifts they took them to my mother.
