This month’s giveaway is for an autographed copy of Standoff, Patricia Bradley’s latest page-turning romantic suspense novel and the first in the Natchez Trace Park Ranger Series. Like Patricia’s other stories, the new series takes place in her home state of Mississippi.
I was privileged to read the final draft of this novel, and it’s definitely one you’ll want to add to your TBR shelf.

About the Story
The Natchez Trace National Parkway stretches 444 miles from Nashville to Natchez, the oldest town on the Mississippi River. It’s the perfect road for a relaxed pleasure drive. Unfortunately for park ranger Luke Fereday, lately it’s being used to move drugs. Sent to Natchez to infiltrate the organization at the center of the drug ring, Luke arrives too late to a stakeout and discovers the body of his friend, park ranger John Danvers.
John’s daughter Brooke is determined to investigate her father’s murder, but things are more complicated than they first appear, and Brooke soon finds herself the target of a killer who will do anything to silence her. Luke will have his hands full keeping her safe. But who’s going to keep him safe when he realizes he’s falling–hard–for the daughter of the man he failed to save?
Award-winning author Patricia Bradley introduces you to a new series set in the sultry South that will have you wiping your brow and looking over your shoulder.

I am not a fan of road trips and the longest I have gone is 5 hours to Massachusetts.
Not a fan of road trips?!?! Oh, no!!!! LOL!!! I think I’ve driven my Pontiac Vibe to/through about 25 states and the District of Columbia. Always glad to have you stop by 🙂
We’ve never been The Natchez Trace National Parkway either, but have driven on The Blue Ridge Parkway many, many times.
Hi, Robin. I love the Blue Ridge. I wish Mom and I had been able to take one last trip on it, but that wasn’t to be. Such a beautiful area. Thanks for being here!
One year we spent several days in Tennessee with some friends. We rented a cabin and took several road trips through the mountains during that time, in October, and it was beautiful!

Hi, Wendy. That sounds like a dream vacation. Our whole family rented a huge cabin in eastern Tennessee several years ago for my mom’s 75th birthday. So much fun. But that was in the summer. Autumn must be absolutely beautiful! Glad you stopped by!
I just enjoy the back country roads here in WV especially in the fall.
Hi, Lucy! You’re blessed to have those back country roads! Enjoy the colorful leaves! Always glad to hear from you!
We drove up the coast of California one year with our 3 kids. The plan was to drive north until we were either half-way through our allotted vacation time or allotted vacation funds. It was a beautiful trip and made many wonderful memories.
We love traveling from Northeastern Kentucky to Cumberland Falls near Corbin, KY.
Hi, Connie. I always enjoy driving through Kentucky. Even the one time when I was driving from Florida to Ohio in a January wintry storm. I spent the night (with my little dog Rugby–Griff wasn’t part of my family yet) in Knoxville. The next day, driving north, I could see the temperature gauge on my car go from 16 F degrees to zero. I wasn’t sure I could make it to Cincinnati and I was praying, praying, praying. Thankfully, God was with me!
I absolutely love this, Sally. What a treasured memory. I’ve never been that far west, but I can imagine that was a lovely trip. Thanks so much for sharing!
My favorite road trip is from my house driving up to my families vacation spot. We have to go by a river and forest to start out and as I get more toward the destination spot I come into the city of Dubois, PA where there are different shopping and grocery outlets. Driving up is so relaxing. The forest is a good place to hide for animal or person.
I look forward to learning more about the author and their books and hope I get a chance to read and review the print format of the author’s books. Love books like this and would love to win this book.
Thank you for this chance to win.
Hi, Crystal. That sounds like an amazing trip. I’ve only been through Pennsylvania a couple times but it’s such a lovely state. Thanks for stopping by!
My husband and I have talked about taking the Natchez Trace Parkway for years. In the middle of a remodel of a bathroom and during Covid, it won’t be this fall.
Hi, Lisa. We’re all going to be so glad when Covid goes away–if it ever does!–and we can get back to jumping into our cars and going wherever we want. Wishing you the best with your bathroom remodel! I imagine you’ll be glad when that task is done! So glad you stopped by!
My family did drive some of the Natchez Parkway as a child and it was very historically interesting. I can’t say that we have a favorite road trip because we have so many places we’ve never seen. I don’t think we’ve been to the same place twice except for maybe a day trip to Wimberley or Fredericksburg.
Hi, Perrianne! I’m like you–so many places I’ve never been but sure do want to see. It seems most of my road trips these past few years have been going from one family member’s home to another. We’re so spread out that can take a day or two of driving! Thanks for sharing!
love a road trip especially going to the Smokey Mountains
Hi, Shelia. The Smokeys are so beautiful. My parents loved to travel through those mountains so that alone makes them special to me, too! Always glad to hear from you!!! BTW, whenever I try to respond to an email from you (like for the Let’s Chat giveaways), I get an “undeliverable” message. It’s so weird but I don’t want you think I didn’t try!
One of my favorite road trips was in North Carolina through the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was so beautiful! Thanks for the chance to win this book!
Hi, Megan! That’s one of my favorite trips, too. Love the Blue Ridge! So glad you stopped by.
There are many, but Olympia National Park in Washington was lovely!
Hi, Carolsue. I’ve never been to the west coast but I sure would love to visit that area. I wrote a couple of cozy mysteries for Annie’s Fiction that were set in Orca Island. My sister and I tried to figure out a way to get there, but it just wasn’t feasible at the time. Still on our area list! Thanks for stopping by!
Going through the mountains is always a nice road trip when going down south.
Hi, Jake Bray!!! I love driving through the Appalachians but I’ve never driven through the Rockies. I think I might be intimidated to tackle them! LOL! Glad you stopped by!
From SC to New Orleans. We have our favorite stops now but there’s always something to explore
Hi, Pamela. I’ve driven through New Orleans on my way to Orlando. Interstate 10 is such a long drive but I remember enjoying it. I’ve driven from South Carolina down to Orlando, too, and loved driving through the marshes. We stopped at a wonderful little roadside market and got the most scrumptious pepper jelly! I’d never be able to find that place again, but it was so fun. Thanks for inspiring those memories! 🙂
