April showers have definitely brought May flowers, aka weeds, to our little corner of the world. Unlike most folks, I love them! The dandelions, the little yellow crocuses, the wild strawberries, the clover…they take me back to a blissful farm girl childhood!
May’s giveaway is for an autographed copy of When Mountains Sing by Stacy Monson. This is the first novel that was released by the Mosaic Collection, a group of authors (including me!) who have joined together to bring you compelling and authentic inspirational stories in a variety of genres.
Stacy and I met several years ago–has it been over a decade already??–when we were both finalists in a My Book Therapy Frasier contest and invited to attend a pizza party at that year’s American Christian Fiction Writers Conference. She is a gifted, award-winning writer who has this to say on her website’s bio:
I’ve seen miracles, experienced valleys and mountain peaks in my faith journey, and wondered where God was in the darkest times–yet my faith remains.
THE STORY
When the truth cost her everything, she thought there was nothing left to lose.
Mikayla Gordon loves nothing more than sleeping under the stars, reeling in the “big one,” and long hikes in the wilderness. A medical crisis reveals a 30-year-old secret that turns everything she’s known and believed upside down, unraveling her dreams and her identity.
In search of answers, she follows a trail from Minnesota to Colorado and discovers more unwelcome secrets even as she falls in love with the majestic beauty of the Rocky Mountains, and a youth leader who shares the greatest secret of all.
Knowing her life can never go back to what it was, she must make decisions that will impact far more than just her future.

Would love to read and review book in print format. Story sounds like a good one
Hope I Win
Crystal, that’s a lot to go through. So glad everyone is doing better!
Crystal, thanks for sharing your praises. Prayers for you and for your parents!
Thank you for sharing your time and your talent. God bless you.
❤️❤️❤️
Hi, Debra! Stacy is an amazing author! Thanks for participating in the giveaway.
Love to read Christian authors who inspire and challenge me. There is nothing that I find more frustrating than starting a book that has a compelling story to tell, but tarnishes it with coarse language and/or smut. I do not finish reading this type of literature no matter how badly I want to know the ending. Thank you for clean, meaningful novels.
Totally agree, Anne-Marie. I always want to get lost in a great story without the distracting stuff.
When Mountain Sings is an amazing story, Anne-Marie. Thanks so much for stopping by!
It sounds like your book is full of inspiration and how to deal with the everyday challenges that we all face. I thank God for his continued blessings on my life and the knowledge that I couldn’t make it without HIM.
Julie, I hope there’s inspiration in my stories. Life is tough and as you said, we can’t do it without Him.
Hi, Julie! I promise (underline and bold!) that Stacy’s story is definitely inspirational. I love the insights that the three sisters gain–especially Mikayla. You’ll love it!
I am praising God for blessing me in so many ways, even and especially in the midst of a crisis.
Amen and amen! Sharing those praises with you!
He is so good to His children, even in the midst of troubling times.
Praising him for our family’s health during the pandemic. Also grateful for vaccines, which we all now have had..
It’s sure easy to take our health for granted, isn’t it? Hopefully we’re all remembering to rejoice in and be thankful for good health for ourselves and our families and friends.
Hi, Perrianne. I’m grateful our family has stayed healthy, too. We’re pretty sure one of my sons-in-law had covid before knowing that’s what it was, but no one else in his household got sick. Always so good to hear from you!
I’m praising God for his Unconditional Love, Mercy and Support in these uncertain times! For my family’s health! For the vaccines…for bringing good and growth even from this virus in so many different ways, and giving us grace and strength to cope with the pain and loss… For so many things!
The book sounds awesome, thanks for the chance!
There’s nothing in the universe as wonderful as His truly unconditional love and mercy, is there? I’m praising Him alongside you!!
Hi, Paty. Praising God, too, right alongside you and Stacy (and everyone else here)!!! Thanks for being here.
I am praising God for the beautiful things in nature that I get to witness everyday, the flowers, the birds with new babies, the sunsets and sunrises, the clouds in the blue sky, even the storms and rain. How blessed we are, we can see God’s handiwork everywhere!
I have read the ebook of this and I loved it!! It is beautifully written. I still think about it and I read it when it first came out! Wow, I’d love to have an autographed copy! Thanks for the chance!
Hi Sherry!!! I love enjoying God’s artistry and creativity in nature, especially now that we’re living in the country. Can you even imagine how magnificent heaven will be?!
So glad you enjoyed the ebook. I enjoyed writing it!
Hi, Sherry! So glad you’re a fan of the book already! I sometimes get annoyed at my dogs for wanting to go out early in the morning and late at night, but once I get outside, I take a deep breath and thank God for the day and His grace and the breeze and the moon and………yes, even storms and rain! Thanks for being here!
That’s the hardest thing to do, isn’t it? Praising God when we’re IN the crisis? But it’s actually the very best thing we can do. Thanks for sharing that.
praising God for giving me another day of life. Also that a dear friend is no longer suffering but went on to his reward.
Sheila, I’m sorry to hear about your friend and yet glad that he’s now healed and with Jesus.
Oh, Shelia. I am so sorry about your friend. What a blessing, though, to know the suffering has ended. Prayers for you.
That I still have my mom in my life. Thanks for the chance.
Lynn, what a blessing! It’s hard to believe mine has now been gone 10 years. So glad you are still making memories with yours!
That is a blessing, Lynn! I miss my mom and am so grateful for a lifetime of cherished memories. Thanks for entering the giveaway.
Praising God that I have had the privilege to care for my mom for nine months. She isn’t doing well and may transition soon to heaven but I rejoice that she has lived 91 years praising The Lord.
What a privilege to care for our moms at the end of life. I was thankful to get to do that, as well, and to be with her when she passed. Praying for you both.
Prayers for you and your mom, Lucy. That time of care is so precious, but how wonderful that her life is one of praise. I also had the privilege of being with my mom for the last two years of her life and I am so grateful for that time. Thanks for sharing.
W have much to praise the Lord for! It doesn’t matter what battles we face here on earth, He is always with us to battle and fight for us. Family, the body of Christ, health, food on the table, a home to live in. He cares for every single thing about us and if we spend time in His presence, we appreciate much more the blessings we have all around us.
Amen, Carla!!
Amen to all of that, Carla! Yesterday morning, I opened our well-stocked refrigerator and tears came to my eyes. It was so strange, but in that moment, I was immensely grateful for something I usually take for granted. Today, it’s for a freshly mown lawn and newly-weeded flower beds! So glad you shared your praises. Thank you!
What am I praising God for today. Even though I did catch the Covid VirusI I know earlier I said I hadn’t and that was true) but I eventually caught it. I praise God for being my Lord, Savior, Heavenly Father, Forever Friend, dying on the cross for my sins, all my blessings and letting me recover from Covid so I can help take care of my Mother who has Covid.
Book sounds great. Would love to read and review in print format
Crystal, I’m praising God for your recovery, and praying for your mom as well.
Crystal, my prayers are with you and your mom, too. Take care!
Praising God that my husband’s health is better!
Yay God! Praising God along with you!
That’s great news, Connie. Thanks for sharing!
I’m praising God for my family and being together with them, for time with friends and for the beauty of spring. Thank you for the chance to win!
Hi, Mega! The last two years, it seemed like we went from winter straight into summer here in Oklahoma. But this year, we’re having a lovely spring and I love it! (Even the cute little flower-weeds! LOL!) Thanks for participating in the giveaway!
Those are things I’m thankful for as well!
I’m praising God for the time that I had to sit outside on the deck this afternoon and spend some time in prayer.
Hi, Lisa! That sounds like a wonderful and blessed time! Thanks for stopping by!
